We've had a pretty awesome October so far! Monday October 1st we had one single queen room that didn't rent that night and was fully booked every night there after all the way through Saturday October 13th! It was actually nice to have only 3 rooms booked last night. Gave my housekeeping staff a break! LOL! We love fall for all it's beauty and the leaf peepers!

THE CANDY STORE IS NOW OPEN AT THE MOTEL!!!! From our candy store blog - We are officially open at our new location!! So exciting! We are now at 1395 Route 7 South in Middlebury! Just 4 buildings north of the A&W. We are still a work in progress and will be organizing and adding new product over the next 3 weeks. Our grand re-opening celebration will be the weekend of July 7th!

WE'RE MOVING NEXT WEEK!!! - We got some really good news yesterday which is going to allow us to move the candy store next week to our new location!! Yay!!

STORE CLOSED NEXT WEEK - The store will be closed Monday June 11 through Friday June 15 to allow us to pack up the shop and move to the new location. The shop will reopen on Saturday June 16 at our new location.

NEW LOCATION ADDRESS - Our new address will be 1395 Route 7 South Middlebury, VT 05753. Now the Middlebury Sweets Candy Shop & Motel. Formerly The Greystone Motel!

OPENING CELEBRATION - We will have a grand re-opening celebration the weekend of July 7th! Stay tuned!

YES WE WILL BE OPEN - We will be open between Saturday June 16 until the grand re-opening celebration on July 7th. So if you are in need of some sweet treats, be sure stop by and check out our new digs!

It's beginning to look a lot sweeter around here! We finally have our rooms decorated with candy themes!

BIG MOVE UPDATE - Things are moving right along at it's best pace yet! Walls are almost done being painted! Flooring is going down as we speak! We have some small projects to get completed before we can get inspections done. Once inspections are done we can move in!! We are shooting for the move to happen the week of June 25th, if not sooner! We will have a soft opening then a grand re-opening celebration 2 weeks after the move. So the grand re-opening celebration should be in early July! It's taking a bit longer then expected but we are just gald the end is near! We will be looking for volunteers who may want to help with the move. I have had a lot of people mention they want to help out. So if you are interested in volunteering let me know and I will start getting a list of names together! Thank you in advance.

CANDY STORE MOVE UPDATE - So the renovations are moving right along! I hope to have the candy store moved by June. Most of the renovations should be complete by the end of this month. Then inspections will need to be done and all that good stuff.

So I am hoping to move within the first 2 weeks of June with a soft opening after we move then a grand re-opening at the end of June as we get the new store fully stocked and ready to go for a grand opening celebration! Our grand opening celebration will include room tours, goodies to snack on, giveaways and more!

I am really excited to see all the great changes we are making for the candy shop! If you loved our store before, you are going to love it even more! I know, does't seem possible right?! I can't wait! So very exciting!

Only 2 rooms left to make lamps for the decor! This is the most time consuming project! But once these are done we can start decorating the rooms!! Yay!!

Look what we found! A really old Greystone sign! It wasn't intentional, the wind storm we had 2 weeks ago ripped off our sign. We hope to fix the sign soon and get our brand new signs up. Stay tuned!
